If you are looking for a home on Leech Lake, there is a very high chance that you were first attracted by the lake’s widely celebrated reputation as a hot-spot for some of the largest walleyes and muskies to be found in the entire Midwest . Leech Lake is the third largest body of water in Minnesota, and it hosts some of of the best walleye and muskie fishing anywhere. Leech Lake is one of the few lakes left in Minnesota that still gives you that “up-north” feeling. Everyone knows that most Minnesota real estate markets are strongly tilted in the favor of the home buyers. However, many people don’t realize that our area has remained relatively unscathed by the housing slowdown. The Walker MN-Leech Lake real estate market has not seen the wild price vacillations that are experienced in other communities. Lake shore lots sell anywhere in the range of $2700 to $3500 per lot foot. Comparable parcels on the north side of the lake typically go for around $1000-$2000 per lot foot.
